Trial by Water by Qui Nguyen is based on the true story of the Vietnamese Bolinao crisis, this play is about two brothers forced to flee war-ridden Vietnam, and is filled with wit, humor, and the desperate struggle to survive.

A theatrical reading is a performance where actors read a script aloud in front of a live audience, typically without costumes, sets, or extensive staging, allowing the audience to experience the story primarily through the spoken word.

Audience: Best suited for Ages 16+

Admission: Free, No tickets necessary, Seating is first-come-first-serve. The McMahon Auditorium Authority and City of Lawton Arts and Humanities Division is conducting a Food Drive through December 22nd, so any donation of non-perishable food items are greatly appreciated.

This production is being conducted as part of the 2024 Lawton NEA Big Read:Lawton. The NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
